Buddy of mine took these two shots of a Colorado Buck a couple weeks ago, sorry for the bad pictures he said he screwed up on the auto focus setting or something in his excitement.
I think this is a damn nice Buck what do you all think?

REDDOG,

That is not Colorado Buck, that Cularada Buck! As in "Where in the World is Cularada Buck!" Dude needs some bigger Wranglers!

Excellent first post. Incredible deer! Thanks for posting and PLEASE post some more pics of that deer.

JC you crack me up!
You think you've laid eyes on this Buck?

Thanks for all the responses everyone I too think he is tremendous and wish I had a tag for this area. Will post more photos if we can get them.

Boy you ruined your rep posting a big buck like that!!! Now everyone is going to expect that:) you should have started off with something smaller:) One helluva buck!! Way to go!! Just seeing something like that is a blessing let alone shooting one!

Hey Snell, I got an email a few days ago with the same two pix attached. Then I heard the buck was is in a state park somewhere.
Amazing buck though!

WOW, that is a giant buck. Sure like to have him in my sights! Please, post more photos if you can get more. Neat buck.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-16-09 AT 06:50PM (MST)[p]No doubt a WHOPPER! That's what dreams are made of right there. I'm assuming this buck would be a tame park deer like some of the other famous photogenic CO bucks we've seen posted here and in magazines. JCmuleys has an eye for deer and I wouldn't doubt he's seen this buck before. This buck has some strong similiarities to a live buck photo on page 45 of the Mar/Apr 2009 issue of MC.

Hey Snellstrom-Thanks for posting the pics. Its good to see the big old stud hasn't been plowed by a minivan. Some guys have a pretty good eye for big bucks and some are just freakin' sick in the head about them. I think I fall into the later. I spent a few days looking for him last year with no luck but know a few that have photographed him. I think its great that there are places big bucks get to be monsters like this without being hunted. It wouldn't be any challenge to whack this buck to be sure and would break lots of laws.

Buckspy im glad you brought it up also i was going to post the 08 picture but decided not to. I was simply stating that i like the growth of the deer in one year. Great buck!

Buckspy,
When I saw the pic I knew I had seen this buck before. Only had to look through one copy of MC to find a picture of him hard horned. Damn, I must be one sick bastard too. ;)

Its bucks like this that haunt our dreams and keep the fire burning. The landscape becomes richer in my mind knowing there are bucks like this still out there.

Awe-striking!!!!

Yep me too!
Very interesting first post for me, nice to see a bunch of big deer "sicko's" out there, I don't feel so alone and makes me quite at home with this bunch!
Thanks to all with the comments, this is quite fun to post with you guys.
This buck is in a non huntable area as many of you pointed out and is "safe" from legitimate taking as far as I can tell, he is in danger of vehicle accidents or an idiot who has no regard for the law so we hope to keep seeing him.
Thanks again everybody!

From the looks of the pictures posted on the March thread ( no teeth), that buck doesn't have to many winters left in him.

I have now heard that probably from all the talk of this buck, he was found in someones yard with an arrow in him. the problem with forums like this, is it temps people. really need to keep info on bucks like these a secret. its always great to share, but it ends up a bad situation. so just please keep this in mind when sharing.

When exactly did you hear this?
Where exactly was he found with an arrow in him?
Please contact me confidentially if you like but contact me nonetheless.

If the deer is in fact dead - a couple of photos posted on this site had very little (and most likely nothing) to do with it being poached.

BS, just the opposite, a guy would have to be a fool to shoot a famous buck. if that buck were a secret he would be in trouble

There has been dumbasses that have poached famous critters in the past. Not saying that it happened with this one but never rule out a dumass...
