I just got a new Trail Cam last weekend and got some nice bucks coming in withing the first 24 hours. I bought a Moultrie 5 megapixel. I was pumped to get some photos of nice bucks so quickly but very dissapointed with the quality of these pictures. I had numerous photos where the deer where no further than 20 feet away and the quality just sucks.
Well long story short I guess I made a mistake by having the Video Option turned on...I made it back out to my trail cam yesterday and turned the video mode off and am now just running it in Still Mode with High Quality selected. The clarity problem is solved, just bummed that the first round of pictures turned out so bad. I had no idea the video mode would take away from the quality of the pics but atleast I got it figured out now and can finally trust that all the pics captured from here forward will be clear.
Here are one of the pictures, is there anyway for this image to be cleaned up?
*if you are looking at the center of the photo the buck is just off to the right side. From this shot and others I have he looks like he has a pretty nice outside spread. I know the pic is poor quality but if you guys had to give it your wildest guess how wide would u say he is?
They came in to the camera 3 of 4 days so Im feeling good about actually getting clean pictures of them this week. I will post as soon as i do. Thanks for taking a look guys!
