Good buck for my stepbrother

On monday after opening weekend in Utah I had my wife and one year old son come up for the day to hunt with me. Because of this I was stuck road hunting with my fifteen year old stepbrother tagging along. I figured we wouldn't see much, but it was nice having my wife come and hang out with me. Man was I wrong. We saw several yearling bucks and on our way back to camp we had three two points run in front of us. One was about 30in wide, one was 25in tall and the last was a yearling. My stepbrother got out to go after them and I went with. I got him within 30yds for a shot, and he made a great shot through the heart. My wife watched his buck run and go down. Apparently i was the only one that noticed how big the first two bucks were. When we walked up to his deer he started shaking and crying a little. I asked him what was wrong and he told me that if he new he was that big he would have missed him due to over-excitement. I now understand why my dad hunted the way he did with me when I was younger. I had a blast helping him sneek in, judge the yardage for him, and help him retrieve his game. The only hunt more memorable that I have was when my dad helped me take my first deer at 14. Oh ya he shot the tall buck. He is 25-1/2in tall, 20in wide, and has almost 8in bases. I figured with tooth wear, the start of a roman nose, and hoof size that this was a 4 year old buck. He never did see the big one, but I did and so did my wife when he ran right by her after he shot.
