LAST EDITED ON Sep-20-09 AT 00:16AM (MST)[p] These are a couple of bucks that evaded me during the Nevada archery hunt this year in August. These pictures were taken with a point and shoot camera while holding the camera up to the spotting scope. fatrooster.

While taking this photo a few goats showed up behind us and gave us a scare.

My other hunting partner Tony Langdon got kinda close to this nanny.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Great pics. Something about the granite and the green grass--it's just a cool combination.

Great pics! gotta love those rubies. I just drove by them on my way back from colorado yesterday. I was thinking I gotta get back up there. A few years ago Tony showed my brother and I a great place to hunt and we both got bucks opening week with our bows. Tonys knee must be doing better if hes up there with the goats. looks like you guys saw some good bucks.

Yep! Yep! and double Yep!!

Great place and really good photos.

Within the shadows, go quietly.

Now that's a pretty little Valley should be called 3 pools valley.
Hope those bucks make it into next archery season.

BantyRooster,

Great pictures there and one of these years, soon I hope, I can go up there to see for myself what the pictures show, just awesome.

I think those pictures just convinced me to go back! I was thinking of waiting a few more years on some others hunts in Nevada but that was such a fun hunt with a muzzy that I'm back in! Nice bucks!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-21-09 AT 01:12AM (MST)[p]Huntaddict, Tony is still having some probs with the knees but hunting mulies is more important than life itself to him. I guess those younguns just can't keep up with us older men, ha ha. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. fatrooster.

Banty,
I like your "walking/climbing stick" what is that made out of as it looks like it is wrapped with something?

Brian

Kilo, I don't know what kind of wood it is but the wrapping is actually the bark shaved off in a spiral around the stick direction. I bought it at the local Spring Creel Ace Hardware store a year ago. fatbanty.

Great pictures. I love the ones with the goats.
