Yes I was hunting elk with my dad, that is why I havent been around. It is a diamond mtn buck and he is only 24 inches wide, but I would rather have the mass and height any day. He is better than all the 25-29 inch bucks I saw up their this year. Their is another 24 incher up their that is a toad, but he is on private land. I was up their for the last week with my dad hunting elk and saw some real nice bucks, alot of new ones I hadn't seen, they are starting to move around and and showing up with the does. Dont remember seeing more than 2 or 3 bucks together all week, I think the rut may be a little early up their, it has been cold. A good yr to have the rifle tag. I wouldnt even think of shooting anything under a 170 buck, if you have a tag this year.
