9 points next year

Ill have 9 points next year and I'm looking for others that will have 9 points also to put in together and try to increase our odds, I'd prefer archery but can do rifle or muzzleloader as well. Any takers?

I grew up on the Paunsaugunt but I would go on the Book Cliffs, or Henry Mountains. The Pauns is really hard to hunt with a bow. But my mom has a rifle tag on there this weekend that she got with 8 points.

I would like henries over anything with a bow, but with 9 I'm in max point pool, only 3 tags and 27 others in the same pool it could be 9 years before a draw so anything will work, don't want to wait anymore

I think the Pauns would be the best hunt with 9. I have spent time on all three hunts on the Pauns and believe the archery is the best. Heading down tomorrow to hunt with my dad on the rifle and it should be good but I still think if you are a good archer than the archery is a great hunt. If you draw shoot me a pm and I can give you some out of the way spots to check. Good Luck!

Your odds are actually better putting in by yourself. When it comes down to the last couple tags in the pool, people in groups will get passed over because their apps exceed the remaining tags. If your determined to hunt archery, Paunsagaunt would be your best option with 9 points, second I would look at San Juan, it is on the rebound.
