The first buck is a buck that I was able to take with a bow opening evening of second season. He will gross close to 200". The second buck is a super heavy buck that my sister harvested that will gross over 180".

I had been scouting for a couple days and this was one of the best bucks I found. I saw where he had bedded down so I snuck up a small ravine to within about 60 yards of the sleeping buck. I then layed down and began crawling. I crawled to within a about 30 yards. He was looking away so I took my shoes off and began slowly sneaking in behind the buck. He was just on the other side of a fence and my goal was to get as close to the fence as I could. I was slowly creeping up on the buck from behind. I was between 7-10 yards from the buck when another deer jumped up. I knelt down and drew on the buck. I hit him a little far back and he took about 5 quick jumps and stopped. The second arrow smoked him and he only made it about 30 yards before he expired. I was pumped. It took me an hour and a half to close the last 40 yards. This is my best buck to date.

Awesome bucks for sure. That looks like a Mesa State Mavericks shirt on you--i'm a Mesa grad. Did you happen to take those bucks over there by GJ? I'll be heading to unit 21 in a couple of weeks for third season and was thinking about taking my bow--some people think you're weird when you bow hunt during the rifle season. Great job.

Due to the area I had to use a bow. There were a few houses and he landowner requested a bow or no hunt. Lucky that it worked out. Go MAVS. I graduated in 2007. The bucks were harvested about 50 miles from GJ. Scouted some good bucks in 21. Hopefully the weather will turn by 3rd season. Too hot.

It worth every cent!! I would love to have that bill at the taxidermy!!
