Here is a buck I took on the evening of Oct. 19. I passed many decent 4x4 and 5x5 before I decided to take this one at 332 yds with my .300 WSM. I haven't put a tape on him yet, just curious to what you guys think he scores. With his deep forks, I couldn't pass him up.

FamousAddiction thats a good buck. Hard to pass on those. He looks to be around 27 inch mark. I would guess hes in the 150. Congrats.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-21-09 AT 12:29PM (MST)[p]173 3/8" on the dot ;-) jk but somewhere in that neighborhood...great shot and congrats on getting him, he's a nice one!! Let us know if you tape him...

I'd put him in the upper 160's but I think those beams are a little longer than they appear at first glance...

I taped him out.
Gross 182 1/8
Net 180 2/8

Main Beams Left 24 1/8 Right 24 2/8
Inside Spread 22 3/8

I know he'll shrink taking him out of the books, but still an awesome trophy. Not one who cares about score to much, I'd shoot him again knowing the score before hand. I'll never be able to pass up a buck like this!!! I'm a sucker for deep forks. Thanks for all the nice comments. This is my second buck in 3 yrs (didn't draw last year) that will end up high 170's net. I'll get him scored in 60 days just in case, but am pretty sure he will miss the magic mark of 180. Thanks again for all the nice remarks.

excellent buck--those deep forks can be deceiving for sure, but that's where the score is! Deep fronts always score well! It's great to see a buck right at 180" before i head into the hills.
thanks!
