Had good success out on the vernon this year. Here are the pics of the bucks my brother my dad and I took on the vernon unit. Mine is a 32 inch even, typical 4 point with eye guards that are over 3 inches. My dad took a tad over 28 inch double cheater buck. and my little brother took a 24 inch typical 4 point, semetrical as can be.

As you can tell I am super stoked about our hunt and the awsome success that we had. Also thanks to My four brothers Scott, Jason, Roger, and David. Also thanks to my Dad, Russell, for all of his encouragement and help as well. We all got great bucks in my opinion and worked hard for this success!

average of three. I had four, my brother had three, and my dad had two. We got lucky!

Awsome hunt, Thats a fun hunt with your dad and brother. Then on top of it to kill some great bucks, thats just sweet.

Congrats on the hunt, you guys did awesome. You worked hard and persistence paid off. Your brother Jason kept me posted every day. I am thrilled that you all got great bucks, I am going out with Jason to see the bucks this afternoon.

thanks dan, we did have a good hunt. I do feel bad that there are no pics of jason on here but they all had too many kb's to post on this site. He really did help out a ton and I dont know that we would have had as good a hunt with out everyone there to help.

Great bucks man shoot me a PM and lets talk about what area you got them in. I think I was looking at the same bucks I might be wrong.

FHMAN13, post up that buck you shot out there! I want to see that thing. It was a pretty good hunt. We did have to hunt pretty hard and do a ton of scouting to score but it did pay off.

I'd say "LUCKY" Draw...I have been trying every year for the last 8 to Tag Vernon and have finally decided it may not be worth burning that many points despite practically growing up in the unit.

Awesome Bucks for all of you and congrats! Any more story to it...bucks all in the same canyon etc??

Awesome hunt and great bucks! Is it common for vernon deer to have back forks like that?

Those are some good bucks, but either they have extra wide ears, or pic is bad I don't see 32 or 28 , maybe 27 and 24, could be wrong, but good bucks.....

HA! HA! HA! I knew someone would say that! You are correct, they do have big ears. I dont remember exactly but they were around 25 inches. I do have a pic with a big ruler that shows them right at 32 and 28 but it has too many kbs to post on this forum. I could resize it and post it but im not sure that you could make out the numbers if i did that anyway. If it makes you feel any better about it you can get ahold of me and I will let you measure them with your own tape. I will get the horns from all of them back from the taxi today. HATERS! j/k

I have seen all three bucks in person and I promise that they are indeed 32 and 28. I have been a member of MM since the very beginning and it ceases to amaze me that one or two people always have to be negative. If a guy says his buck is 32 inches wide then take his word for it. Photos can often be deceiving.
