Utah Rifle Buck(video)

We put in our time this year! This was a great deer that my friend shot last week. After hiking to the top in the dark and glassing the high basins and cuts all day, we found this deer about 1000 yards below us and went on a dead sprint to get to him before dark.

Sorry about the shaky footage, we ran a loooong ways and I didn't get it on the tripod before the shot.

Beautiful buck though with a great frame!

That's a good buck! Nice view of the city below in the video too. Did those other hunters ever come over and at least congratulate you?

Way to go Cavett! Great job on a nice buck man! General season UT none the less! Love the footage Zac took of the shot. I know you boys hunted hard this season and put in your time. Glad it paid off for you!

Those other hunters were 0.5 miles below us when we initially spotted the buck. They actually hauled-A- down the mountain when they knew we had seen something. It kind of bugged me but I can understand the curiosity. No, they didn't come by.

To me it doesn't matter if those other hunters seen it first. He who hits it first wins.
