We got this buck the 2nd Saturday morning. Southern unit. It is a 6x8 with nice eyeguards. Haven't measured it yet, but I think its about 26" or 27" The double tripods on the one side make it pretty unique.

Didn't hear much shooting at all the whole time we hunted (opening morning, then Thursday thru 2nd Saturday morning). It seems that fewer deer are making it past the archery and ML hunts, and if they are they are that much more "educated." Plus, perhaps more hunters may be holding out for trophies.

Very nice job! what a great buck.

Hey Mike!

Long story, but I spotted it Thursday morning at about 2000 yds for 5 seconds before it disappeared (followed by 7 doe, then 3 more shortly after that). I tried to put Royce to it, but that didn't materialize. We hunted near that area Thursday night, Friday morn and Friday night, but only saw smaller bucks. Saturday morning we came in on the area from 3 different directions. Richard spotted it at 1500 yds just after it got light. It was already bedding down. Royce was able to get right on top of it at 75 yds. I was about 100 yds from him covering a potential escape route. The buck busted out and Royce got off 1 shot. I sprinted about 75 yds to where I could see it running away. I shot it on the run at about 200 yds. The shot was lucky. The hunt was a team effort, so we're calling this one a "team buck."

How did you guys do? I'll be posting Nick's WY antelope and his WY buck soon.
