So, for a while now my fiance's uncle has been telling me that he had a HUGE set of antlers in his basement, however, they were buried in all the crap, and he was never able to get to them. The other day he called and asked if I would want them because they were moving and he didn't want to pack them. I said of course, but little did I know that it was going to be this PIG! Check out these pictures. HE's 40" wide and just an absolute giant. He didn't know that much about it, just that it was killed in the 60's and he got it out of a place called Wolf's when it closed down in Utah. This place Wolf's had big buck contests every year, and they would give away jeep's. This buck won a jeep. ANyways, enjoy! Let me know what you think. Oh, he is broke on it's right side. That's where my hand is holding it. I just need to find someone good to fix it.

You know, a few of us still remember Wolf's...and I don't consider myself that old. You make it sound like it was part of some ancient civilization. :)

There was life before Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-04-09 AT 04:25PM (MST)[p]I remember wolf's back in the 70's. I remember the jeep prizes for the big buck contest. I've even seen photos floating around of the winners with their deer and jeep. I'm sure there's some photos of this buck winning out there somewhere. It shouldn't be too hard to track down a photo and find out what year it was taken and by whom.

Who knows maybe the guy that won the jeep would like the rack back and be willing to trade you the jeep for it, now that it's 30 years old.

Wow, Thats quite the gift. Can't complain huh? Thanks for sharing. When i see something like that i always wonder the hunting story behind it. Thanks again for the post.

If you know of anyway that I could find out any more about the buck, could you let me know. That'd be pretty cool, but I was told that the guy that killed the buck is dead now. Not sure if that's true or not, but I was told that.

Cool story.

Unfortunately for you, its just a matter of time before someone contacts you and wants their dead dad's rack back.
