We hunted for two weeks in the middle of her trying to watch our two kids plus two others. It was tough. We were out every chance we had. We saw this buck the night before she shot it but it got dark to fast and she couldn't close the deal. But we found him the next night(she spotted him first),bedded down at 100yds. We had to wait about five minutes before he finally stood up, and she drilled him. It was very exciting. After skinning the head out I found that his right eye had been poked out. He was deffinetly a fighter. We are both very proud of this one. Working on pic's as we speak.

Hey Preacher great work this year on some sweet bucks! Did your wife have a late tag here in Idaho or was it during the general season?

Congratulations to your wife on a fine buck! I have been driving around videotaping bucks here in eastern Nevada during the rut. I have noticed several bucks with what appears to be combat injuries (some eye injuries, a severely drooping ear, several damaged racks).I'd bet there are more injuries than we might think from fighting.

His fifth point on the right was also broke, not sure if it was from fighting or not,and his ear is also got a slit in it. Which I don't think is to uncomon.
