Older Brother and I with a Cactus Buck I shot on the Southern Unit General Archery last year.

Well to say this was a hunt of a lifetime would be an understatement for sure. I was raised in Kanab and have watched muleys like this roam around my entire life without being able to hunt them. 12 bonus points and I finally got the chance. I was surprised how difficult this hunt was with the migration going on. I passed a great buck the opening evening and regretted it every day until this bad boy hit the ground. I hunted my butt off with my buddies and had a blast, but in the end it was my 8 yr. old boy who was the good luck. We were headed to sit on some water I had been seeing good bucks on when this buck crossed the road in front of us. You know what they say, it is better to be lucky than good.

That rifle hunt was a challenge. Those cedars swallow deer like no other.

You did right well, that boy of yours will never forget your hunt. He'll be talking about it around the camp fires for the rest of his life.

In the first pic he is the buck going to the left on the left side. The other pic is the group he was running with. The big 3 was killed opening morning. Sad to know they are dead but good to know they went to a good hunters.

the pics that are posted are from Mr. Littlefield. I don't know him thats why I didnt want to drop his name but I do know his son. He had sent me multiple photos and I believed that to be the same buck but maybe not
