Vernal Monster-Remember?

Remember this post about this monster buck? I received an email that is making its rounds that is full of photos of some happy hunter standing over this buck. As I don't know the hunter, I'm not posting his photos without his permission. The email says the buck was killed behind the Vernal Golf Course during the extended archery hunt and supposedly scores 239.

It's definitely the same buck, I got a text with that buck last friday, it looks even bigger hard horned.

It is true, I havent seen the pics yet though, killed by the golf course. 35"s wide from cheater to cheater scores 230 something. From what I hear. (my brother works with the dudes dad)

I have seen the pics too, it is awesome. I also think the hard horned buck looks a lot bigger and better than the live velvet photos.

The story and more pictures are coming soon need to talk to the bro and make sure he is cool with it. I just got back to work and had 10 emails with the pictures of the monster and it is my own brother I have all of them.

I got the pics too - he is a beaut! True toad. Lots of mass and kickers. Must have got that way from the toxic waste from the sewage ponds down there. Also heard he wasn't taken with a bow, but with an errant tee-shot off of #3! (You know rumors fly - lol)

LAST EDITED ON Nov-19-09 AT 11:59PM (MST)[p]I disagree that this thread is pointless without the kill photos. There are plenty of photos of the live buck to review in the link with the post and I gave information updating the previous post.

I'm not going to post someone's photos without permission because I would be pissed if someone posted up my photos. This is a pet peave of mine. Even if one email from the hunter to his buddy about this buck turned into 100 emails, what gives someone else the right to post up someone else's photos without permission?

This buck is worthy of being published in a magazine and I am definitely not going to be the guy that disqualifies this hunter from magazine publication for breaking exclusivity. I've had 2 animals published in magazines by keeping my photos to myself until publication. If you read the entire thread you would know that a family member of the hunter got permission and posted the photos in the Basin Monster thread.
