Whats he score?

Guys i never got to put a tape to this deer as it was my cousins and he headed home afte he shot it. Idont know exactly how to score mule deer but i have a field judging score in my head when he shot it. I think this buck is about 165-170 inch deer am i close or way off. dang it cant get pictures to post someone send me their email and i will send them to you. It is a nice buck hope to get it on here.

That's a nice buck your cousin got!

Nice back forks and decent G-4's, that buck could easily be in the 165-170 range if not for the kinda short main beams and inside spread. I'm thinking 158-160

thanks for posting Yelum. Yeah i might be off on score as we are in whitetail country here with a few muleys here and there maybe 5% muledeer around here. So i just kinda guess of what i see on this site and see posted for scores.

Who cares, that's the problem anymore, everything is score. Your happy with the deer, so what does it matter. It used to be 30 inches was al that matters, now it's score. Just enjoy your hunt that's an awesome deer.

Huntnrich, Another bash the "score" post eh? I think we all know that score isn't near everything but it does satisfy some curiosity and apparently the guy who posted the thread cares as he asks... "whats the score?"

I am not an expert at judging scores, but I feel sure he is quite a bit less than 170. Maybe 160. Nice buck.

I guess i was off a little in my guess but hey thats why i asked. I just dont kknow muleys real well, heck let me look at a whitetail and unless they are freaky huge i can get pretty close by looking. And no it is not all about the score, I just would like to have an idea what the heck i am looking at for a future reference when i am on a mule deer hunt.
