Saw lots of bucks, and nearly had some chances at a couple good ones. She actually missed a pretty good buck earlier in the hunt before she connected with this one at 180 yards with her muzzleloader.

I found I may be the worlds slowest reloader when it comes to a muzzleloader.

Congrats to her on a nice buck. Way to get her out and hunting, love to see the young hunters out and having fun hunting.

Don'tcha think the excitement of the hunt and wanting her to succeed had anything to do with it? I'd probably be so excited, I'd spill powder, drop caps,or maybe even forget to load!:)
Congratulations on a nice, big two point-my kind of buck!
Forky Pete:)

Definitely exciting. We had lots of practice getting set up within range of bucks, but they always seemed to stop in some brush, or behind does, or something to keep us from getting a good shot. This one stopped behind some scrub oak and when he stepped out she hammered him.

She said she wasnt gonna give him a chance to get away.
