Same guy took the 240ish velvet NT posted earlier last year with the other tag he bought. Thats a pretty typical.

Here is the other buck he harvested this year. Which one would you take? The big hard horned typical scoring 204 or the 240ish n/t with a 18" inside score credit and 28" of mass per side, still in velvet.

Thanks ttj for posting up that non-typ, I remember that thread well now that you posted it up. Me, i'd take the big Typical. There are so many huge typicals that have a few cheaters or a drop or two, then there are others that just have uneven point lengths, that a really big, very even typical with few deductions is rare indeed.

Both bucks are aewsome but i'll take the big typical!! Congrats to the Guide and Hunter!!

At least it served a greater purpose by bringing in tens of thousands of dollars, to help deer/wildlife in the state of NV. Who knows, maybe there was actually some challenge involved.

No love for guided hunts from this chaunt-head!:)

TTJ...are you referring to this buck being 204. Not that I would pass him up, but those mainbeams look too short to be a 200 inch buck. You sure whoever scored him didn't write down the actual inside spread, instead of the spread credit? I'm probably wrong, just being a cyber plick, but I don't see it.

Hey utehunter, the buck was actually killed several months ago. I was emailed the pics in mid Nov.

K looks like he is rutting? Great buck like I said before.

I wish I had that same kind of dough, because I would do the same thing. I would guide myself though. I think if anyone had the money they would buy Governors tags and hunt all the time???? Hell yeah I would.

Ewethunter - That is probably quicksand they are hunting him in also.

longshooter338 - you a little jealous there? I don't care what time of year it is, what season, what weapon, or how much money spent - a big buck like this is an accomplishment. Whether you congratulate the hunter or guide is one thing, but I guarantee the hunter put in some time for this buck. Even if he paid tons of money, he (the hunter) still had to be around and in the field when the the deer showed himself and they don't show themselves too frequently. I really don't think the buck was spotted by the guide and the hunter called to take an early lunch break to come shoot this buck. This is one hell of a buck.

I would agree that this buck is not over 200 inches awesome buck though good job

Mr. Ford has done more for Wildlife in our State then most would ever imagine. I cannot think of anyone who would be more deserving of such deer.
