great looking bucks. I love the left side on that second one.

After 2 elk and 3 deer last year, I told my wife the same thing about nothing this year, but now I have two deer at the taxi's. I hate it when I have to lie to her like that!!!!!

Yea, he is a 3x4. Right side was 79", left side 75" 20" IS. Both public land. Im glad my taxiderist takes payments! The velvet buck should be done soon.

Your bucks seem to be getting bigger every year. Thanks for sharing them, I was hoping they'd show up on here.

Here is a front view of the rifle buck that shows his tine length a little better, 25" main beams. This one actually grew on me when I walked up to it. I passed him up on the second to last evening in hopes I could find him again the next morning when my son could go with me and watch. Hes a good luck charm, The next morning, same spot just after sunrise, there he is, 75 yards and buck down!

Thanks to all for the kind words and thanks to the haters out there for keeping there mouths shut! This year topped off sort of a 10 year quest to shoot a mature buck every year since 2000. 160" has always been my benchmark, so now its time to up the standards for the future. A 30", a 200" and a droptine buck are some of the new standards. But then again, sometimes its just fun to shoot one, reguardless of size. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming draws.
