I agree with Deuce, both states will cost you a hunting licence before putting in for tags. NV you can at least build points, but ID has some great odds if you are a resident (so/so Nonresident). Id go NV and have ID as backup if you dont draw in other states! Either way be prepared to wait a few years to draw anything really good!
Best of luck to you!

Here is a pic of my Best NV Buck (few year ago)! (and its a small one compared to the big ones they get every year).

That my friend I cant say...But most units north of I-80 are good bets, my favorite is North Eastern NV units near Elko. Good luck in your search.. if you go back and scan through the forums you will get an idea were good bucks are coming from. I would also look at the Bonus points and harvets sheets in the NDOW website. Every year on the day those stats comes out - I'm like a kid opening presents in X-mas morning!! Good info/research.

Good luck!

Depends on the game, and what my expectations are. I would say General Mule Deer Tags would be a toss between ID and UT, With Points or without points CO would be a place to be checking out. AZ is to pricy for me, CA is worthless if you are a nonresident, NM might be worth checking out and low cost to apply (never drawn). I went to WY for the first time last year, and I think it has potential (in this day and age its all about building points- its never to late to start building them up).

have you ever hunted above temberline for muledeer?i went to colorado 2 year ago and saw a lot of deer 1 monster that a guy with me wounded and we never found it but i got a 3 point.so colorado is my favorie spot so far. i only hunted in az and colorado for mule deer but im only 14. so i hope i can go to idaho and wyoming or south dekoda.i would like to hunt in utah but it is almost impossable for NR.

14 yrs old and already looking for big bucks and exploring different states...your a stud. Good regions in Idaho are tough to draw on if your a res or nonres, but if your looking for an average 4pt its defintely achievable through an over-the-counter general tag. October is the toughest time to kill a buck so scout, scout, scout in the summer to locate one and then wait him out.
In my opinion Nevada is rockin right now for mule deer. I'd recommend collecting pts for a few years first.
At your age and if you can mow enough lawns to save money I'd start collecting points in colorado, utah and arizona. Endless opportunites and if you play your cards right you could have an excellent hunt every year for the rest of your hunting career.

(Hey guys, take it easy on the kid for his spelling errors...you have to love his passion. Before you type something stupid make sure you know who your talking to)

im going to put in for colorado eastern plains there a lot of big bucks there.do you get a guide when you go to differnt states?Did you get or see any deer when when you went to wyoming?

Check out the mentored tags in Idaho hunting license $7.25 Deer tag $10.75 and then you can pick up a elk tag for $16.50.You have to hunt with an adult with tags for the same unit and animals. Start working on the old man :)
