I'm looking for some guidance on states and units that have "good" mule deer hunting for archery. I am a PA Whitetail hunter and have been blessed to harvest a couple of nice Bull's with my bow in NM and want to try archery mule deer. Hoping you will help to narrow the research a bit...

Without knowing anything about what kind of hunt you're capable of and size of buck you'd be happy with, I'd say Colorado. It's also the closest to you, something we all underestimate when planning out-of-state hunts.

I am in mid 50's run marathons and triathlons, have never had trouble with altitude. "Nice" would mean reasonable chance at 150+ Used to primitive camping.

No, anywhere but Colorado. I'd say Utah or Wyoming are better.

Colorado is a terrible deer state. Try Wyoming.
