Tooth Data Results

I saw the post in the elk forum on tooth data, so I had to see if I had anything back on my deer. He was aged at 6 years old, and was taken in the Bookcliff's. The biggest bodied deer I have ever taken. I guessed him to be 7-8, so I was close. What are the rest of you finding out?

Giant body, fat head and 25 inch ears made his antlers look really small! He ended up having a 26 inch cape as well.

Did you or whoever use sectioning? as opposed to the old jawbone technique?? Lots of people don't give enough consideration of the monsterous size of truly mature deer to the overall appearance of a buck, that one of yours is THICK all over! I've been photo'ing a lot of nice bucks this winter and some are grizzled old veterans but don't have the headgear of the younger bucks. Age is the true determination of a trophy, too bad it's so difficult to judge on the hoof.

I would like to get my tooth data back. I sent it in when i was supposed to, how do i find out the info?

It should be posted at the bottom of your harvest servey. You need to be logged on to your personal information though.

I shot this buck out on the Book Cliffs this year and just got the age results too. They aged him at 6 years old just like your buck. He was pretty heavy antlered and a good size body but I did not think he was 6 years old. Congrats on a great buck!

Longun- Not sure what he weighed dressed out at.

SS- Thanks. Congrats to you as well. You did well yourself it looks like!

Larry- Thanks for answering those ?'s. I just got on and seen the posts.

My wife's limited entry buck from 09' was aged at 6 as well. His cape is huge. Limited our mount choices trying to find one to fit him. To me, he's the definition of a mature buck, regardless of score.
