What a buck, nonetheless

Antelope Island?

Never really seen mesquite and palo verde trees on Antelope Island. The guy trying to sell this is out of Mexico. I heard he wanted $280,000.00 for the buck. He is a great desert muley, but 280k, I don't know.

Great! First it was breeder Whitetail bucks for sale, then bull elk and now Mule Deer.

Maybe that's how the Spider Bull came to be.

Guys;
I'd pay a hundred bucks just to see him up close.
What a great buck.
I hope he is sold as a breeding buck and dies of old age,
servicing the ladies.

Proof positive that a trough full of corn and enzymes trumps bitter-brush every time.

Beautiful buck no doubt, but I prefer them a little less domestic. To each his own, if someone wants him for $280,000 more power to the producer.

I'll sure like to turn his momma and sisters loose on the Fish Lake though.

He is 300 WSM for sure, when I close my eyes and dream, they don't even get that big! I wouldn't even attempt to score that thing. I would probably look stupid! I thought 275+-. The buck is probably the largest Non-typ from Mexico though.

It sure would be nice if the DFG had about 300 straws and did a bunch of does this spring and turned them back into the wild.
Good looking Buck.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Madglasser;

That first buck must be what looking at HODINI was like.

Now, the second buck is more of a possible deer.
Do you all think that the ears are smaller in mexico than they are on the strip, if so the strip has that sort of buck alive and well today.

Thanks for the video, it was more than awsome. I have watched it 4 times and still am in awe.

To me, enjoying this stuff is about as empty as comparing your wife(public land hunting) to some nasty porn star(this high fence horn porn crap). And does anyone remember what produces antler size? genetics is about a third of the equation, meaning diet and age are more important. So if we take a mule deer buck and free it of any predators or exercise, pump it full of god knows what is in that trough, and let it reach its prime, it will probably be incredible. Just like we could take susan boyle and spend 280,000 in plastic surgery and shed probably look amazing too.
No disrespect to anyone who has commented, and i get that the size is incredible, but what this crap can do to the integrity of our public deer herds scares me.

Steve,
From my knowledge of strip deer is mature bucks runs around 24-25 inches on ears when spread out. Mexico is much warmer than St. George, more importantly St. George and the strip is much colder, therefor ears need to be shorter to keep from freezing at the extremities. Most MATURE desert bucks (5-8+) will sport 26-28" ears. They say this buck is 6? I think, nonetheless a desert deer, from Mex at this time of year will weigh around 175 to maybe 200 lbs. Strip bucks will be heavier, therefor the lighter buck will appear larger racked.

There is no doubt this is a large deer, no doubt the strip has large deer, but I have seen bucks with this frame(4x4 or so) in the AZ desert. I guess this buck is outside w/ cheaters around 38", main frame to be about 35". Very seldom do you see the extra activity here though. This is a great example of a big desert muley, really big! Somewhere around 260? I don't know!

Bigger body, smaller ears or smaller body bigger ears-- don't matter, cool to look at!

Ha! Great comparison.That is some true horn porn...kinda a little too much silicone for me though. I like all na-tu-ral!

What do you mean?

genetics is probably more like 2/3 of the equation. most bucks don't have what it takes to grow those kind of antlers.
