Scum bags

I just saw the story. Would like to know what areas the deer came from too. Scum bags for sure. Thumbs up to the DWR and the guy/gal who turned them in.

Holy Crap!!! They estimate as many as 90 animals! That is bound to affect the area(s) where taken. If anybody has any info on where these took place, please let us know.

Those are the people who give legitimate hunters a bad rap! They represent the very worst in us and I hope the courts will make an example out of them. I assume they will never again get a legal hunting license and I would love to see some jail time---kind of "family bonding behind bars"!

If they have been doing it for 18 years, I bet there are even more than 90 poached animals. They better get more than just a slap on the wrist.

I have talked to them in the past and the dad told me he "hunted" out by Skull Valley, so I would be willing to bet Vernon took the brunt of this. There were a lot of trophy bu8cks in that house, I always wondered if something was fishy.

I cannot belive how many times I see or hear of poachers that have learned this behavior from there fathers! Its passed down,if you think that Jr is not watching every thing you do Think Again.I hope they hang thire A$$!

They were indeed from Scull Valley. My chick is from there and know these dumb asses. She said everyone in town knew they were all poachers.

If everyone knew they were poachers then why weren't they turned in sooner?

Tragic but glad they finally were caught.

+1. So the community is part of the problem then, huh? They knew they were poachers for 18 years and did nothing.

LAST EDITED ON May-01-10 AT 08:06AM (MST)[p]The majority of the bucks came from the Cedar Mtn range just south of Dell along I-80 westbound.

As far as turning them in, I know someone who spoke to a game warden about a year and a half ago about some suspicious activities by one of them. I never heard back from him, but a year and a half later, this is in the news.

That just makes me sick!!! Its about time they caught them, I cant believe that they got away with it for so long. I hope they get charged to the full extent of the law!!!

Good time to push for a new "Poacher's Registry", just like a sex offender list but for poacher's, that way, it sticks with them for the rest of their and hopefully makes them ineligible for hunting permits in any state that so chooses.
I hope they go to jail, and never get to own firearms or hunt again...

This stuff pisses me off first off all of you that claim to have known anything about the suspected persons should have camped on your suspicions and maybe done a little homework instead of coming out a year and a half later saying i told you so second off we all should be just as mad at the judges that slap these sh@# bags on the hands and turn them loose i wish i could catch someone in the act i would beat them within an inch of their life destroy their means of transportation and leave the sh@# bags their for the coyotes!!!

In October of 08, I contacted the DWR officer in the area of the Cedar Mts. I told him what I knew about a suspected poaching, he spoke with one of these perps and the perp said "I was just lying about shooting 2 bucks". The CO called me back told me this story and thats the last I heard.I told him about all the trophy buck these people had hanging in their house and that I thought it was suspicious. Whether or not they investigated further from that call is still undecided.
