Can't shoot it anyways legally. It is too close to the house!

I road hunt because my dad has to use oxygen up that high.

LAST EDITED ON May-10-10 AT 11:33AM (MST)[p] Famous quotes...

"Yessir!.....That's one of them big, smart, trophy, deers that NEVER go near roads"!

"You know, that is why you HAVE to hike 5 miles from any road to kill big deer."

It is amazing how many get whacked by cars on the roads of this country.

I forgot one, "I wouldn't shoot that deer, it's too close to the road!"

I thought road hunting was the only way to do it in places like Sonora. Just need some cactus and an adobe hut in the photos...

I wouldn't sitting in a high Mobile blind looking to shoot a buck in Sonora.Just send me and see what happens. LOL

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Guys;

That buck looks very familiar to me, any one else think so ???

Where's your imagination Prohunter? You should have snuck up behind him and posed with your rifle before taking the photo. That or pretended you were holding the antlers. lol

Seriously, that's a nice buck. He's in the safe zone though. Or at least he should be. He doesn't look too thrilled with the attention he's getting either.

"The value of any trophy from the field depends not on its size but on the magnitude of the effort expended in its pursuit." ~ Aldo Leopold

JGT had him pegged for sure.

I couldn't get those double hooking eye guards out of my mind the first time I saw the bucks picture.

The bucks antlers are great, yes, but look similiar to other great bucks, but those double hooking eyeguards are VERY unusual, in my opinion.

Am I the only guy thats not in on the joke or is the picture photoshopped or what ever they call it.

It's pretty obvious that is the same buck in both pictures... My initial assessment was that it's a photoshopped picture next to the road, but that's why i asked if the buck ha been hit by a car...
A few years back, my uncle and cousin came home from an evening of bow hunting packing a very nice 25" buck. They said they stuck him on their way in to our hunting area, right off the road... Upon investigation by myself and father, we later determined the buck was probably hit and that's why he was laying just off the road in the grass... (If you saw where they got him, you'd think so to).
So I think this is either photoshopped, or the deer was hit by a car.
