My dad killed this buck in the bookcliffs in 02. The taxidermist didn't use the form he wanted but did a good job so he left it.

He was 26 when he killed him, now 24 wide.

has anyone seen my kittie

When he was killed he taped out at 178 when I was first figuring out how to score. I'm thinking now he falls right at 170 but haven't put a tape to him since then.

Nice specimen of the Book Cliff's area. He is a solid 160" buck, maybe 165"... I have a 171" buck that has a couple more inches on the G4's (I think), and the matching eye guard, otherwise identical...!!!
Thanks for posting.

At first glance I would give hime a 155

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

Just_86, Its really hard to score a buck from pic's, the way he's mounted and just how wide his ears are, maybe your buck does score more than us 160 guys are saying but the Contest #8 buck, this weeks, is a real good buck to get an idea how this one would score. It was 172 i think...then again, i guessed low on that buck too! :)

I just put it up for fun.and apparently sucked at scoring then! If you look at his left cheek that black mark is the bullet hole. He was facing strait on and my dad got lucky, my dads gun was shooting way high. Didn't break the skull plate.

That's a pretty buck! But he's gonna gross right around the 160 mark.

I just call em as I see em!
