can anyone give me any tips about hunting mule fdeer out of rut with a bow! i have only ever hunted in the rut

You are about to experience one of the biggest thrills of your life... hopefully the bucks are still in velvet too...
the most important thing i think to hunting in september is to scout really well before your hunt starts. i personally prefer spot and stalk. its one of the funnest ways to take a big buck.

SEptember is a pretty good time to spot deer by glassing.If they still have velvit in early sept.they like to stay out of thick cover most the time sense antlers are sensitive to touch.but they only come out half hour in moning and same at night.I reccommend glass glass and do more glassing...LOL
