Well I'm about a thousand miles away from there, but I have the early muzzleloader hunt. So I can let you know when I get back. I have never hunted that unit, but have been studying maps to get ready. I know the deer that I am hunting will be different than yours, but maybe I can point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Carson National Forest. south side of hwy 64 near Iron Springs. Lots of great stuff down there and is near sub-unit 2c. Break out your maps and acquaint yourself with drainages, tanks, and springs. Be patient, you wont see too many animals but you will see some decent game. Any other areas become so overrun with oilfield traffic, it really dampens the experience. Plenty of locked gates you can get in and walk behind in the area I'm telling you.
