I was talking to my taxy and he said to put turpentine on the velvet(just like you would use some other velvet product) if your back in the hills and can't get your buck in that day. Anythoughts? Anyone try it?

("For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9")

Yes it works... I killed a buck in the Kaibab in 98' and preserved the velvet this way...We just brushed it on a few times a day while we were there...
