Old Woman Plateau CWMU

Hey all just looking for any info on this unit. I get to hunt it this fall and curious what to expect. I have talked with the operator and he has been extremely helpful. Any info would be great thanks.

Curious as to what the operator told you? We used to see a few deer out there on the OW, but I wouldn't pick it over a general season unit. If you do a search on here you should find a few things on it. Let us know how it goes.

I've done the search and all the info is from 05 and earlier. I was hoping somebody would have been there in the past year or two. I know its not a trophy unit and am just trying to have real expectations. I have two boys that will be going with me and they want to see some action, as in the past years i would tell them we will let the small forkys that we see grow up and wait for something better and the next guy in orange drops it and I get ragged for not taking the shot. Thanks again for any info.

I hunted the Old Woman for Big bull elk in 06. The cattlemen told me there was three 28" bucks all hanging together near the cabins. I saw the deer and although weren't great scoring, they sure were pretty. I also got some photos of a one of them fuzzy horned deer in October, it was neat to see.

I saw all these deer on the upper ranch. Make sure you check the lower ranch too. We saw does and fawns down there so there must be bucks around. You will see some pretty country and alot of Elk.
