Guys;
I just returned from 13B after spending 16days in the North, Middle, East, West, and South.
The Mule Deer look like they are in good shape.
They are fat, their hair is changing color and their faces look like they fell in a coal bucket.
Oh, their antlers, they look like they are also in good shape.
If they have all the recipe, for good antlers, then this year, they will be very good.
If you are one of the lucky tag holders, congrats!!!
REMEMBER
If you plan to book a guide, do it NOW, NOW, NOW !!!
Get the best guide, you have faith in, and get in shape, and shoot your rifle a lot. Then go out to the desert and shoot under actual conditions. Forget all the special cures, to make you a better shot. Put 500 rounds thru it before you show up for the hunt, and you will be just fine.
The actual hunt will be a bit-h. 6 hours sleep a night, maybe.
BUT
Remember to make it FUN!
Only take a shot, you personally, have 99% confidence in, that will make an ethical kill.
Obey the rules, scout your guts out, eat some good food, your wife won't let you eat at home, enjoy the people you meet.
Respect your fellow hunters, tip your guide, 10-15% plus, in cash money, tip the cook and take lots of pictures of everything.
Good luck my friends and be SAFE
