LAST EDITED ON Aug-28-10 AT 02:25PM (MST)[p]I got the pic too and a not so nice story along with it. If that story is true - it may answer some of Founder's questions in the other thread. Not that I believe it, just saying the story is there. Regardless - it is one TOAD of a buck.

What do you mean, "Founder's questions"....
I got that text too and no way do I buy any of it. My other thread is just one of envy about some guys who can get it done. Just wondering how they do it.

Well - namely this one:

"I was just wondering, how the heck they do that"

>I got that text too and

>any of it.

Me neither - I was just being a little flippant and sarcastic I guess. Laughing at all the crap that starts flying around due to the extreme case of antler envy that ultimately ensues once a big one like this hits the ground. Sorry if it came out wrong.

But like I said I don't believe it. The Carters put in the hours in the field like you said in the previous thread, and I do believe they rely on the collective information of their members in a cooperative effort. I know plenty of others who have benefitted BIG time from their advice and help, so they are spreading it around too. They have capitalized on a unique way to afford it and that angers some people. Just a comment on the rumor mill that immediately has to start.

Can't wait for the magazine to come out with that buck in it. I will buy a copy

I am the one who is holding jason's deer . He is my closest friend, and I have been with him on several of his hunts. You need to understand the level of commitment which he has. you can only compare it to a profesional athlete. He has a wife who is very supportive of his passion. He works 80 plus hours a week in the spring and summer, just so he has time in the fall. Yes he has to comp the time he takes off. You ask how many scouts? Jason rarely has more then on other person spotting for him. They just happen to be very good at what they do. I learn from him every time we are in the field. He is good at what he does. Good luck to all of you this fall. Shaun Harris

You never cease to amaze me with your ignorant and idiotic comments....

Congrats to him on a great buck! BUT ARE THE STORIES TRUE?

Thats all I want to know. IS it TRUE?

Once again, I wish that was me holding that buck, Congrats on the the kill.

Lets hear the real story.

I got it as well. He must have made someone mad at some time to have the picture and a bad story going viral.

I have been watching this thread since it was written. I thought it would stop by now. It is amazing to me that hunting has come to this. We cant be happy for someone who is successful. I have known Jason for several years and watched his time and dedication. He works at this harder than anyone. He never gives up. If there is a big buck he will find it. He doesn't spend hours in the field, he spends, days weeks, and months. I am quite frustrated that people can tear down someone's reputation, life and career with nameless quotes. My advice is don't tear down a guy unless you have facts and are willing to stand up and put your name to it. Paul Marshall

is this the guy in Q ?

emails read: This buck was killed by jason carter. With huntin fool mag. Pulled a dickish move on the actual hunter who found him and tried to kick him off the mountain. The actual hunter had a 25 yard shot when jason took the shot from a about 50 yards further behind him. This is what outfitters in utah are going to create. These 2 hunters were actually cousins. They dont want this pic out so they can put it in their mag. Please send it to every hunter in your phone book

You know what really makes me mad about this thread? I never received the above text... I thought I had friends!

Welcome pm and wyotaxi to MM, the land of the faceless accusations.

Good to see you guys on here and that you are man enough to print your names.

Good job, Jason Carter, you deserve that buck.

I guess i need to start buying his magazine to learn his secrets. I too work many hours, not just spring and fall but year round and when i am working the 70 hour weeks I cannot find time to get out and scout like i would have to to shoot these bucks on a yearly basis. What ever his secret is, it is working very well for him and I have to congratulate him on his accomplishments! Reguardless of the roomers of foul play, this is one nice deer indeed!
