Looking to hook up with someone on rifle Book Cliffs hunt

I'm from SLC UT, and drew a rifle tag for the book cliffs (October 23-31,2010). I have hunted there before in 2004 and love it. My only concern is I might be there by myself. That far in the boonies is not the best place to be alone in case of breakdowns or other misfortunate happenings. I am self sufficient but would like to hook up with someone in a camping area for company and safety. Anyone interested, I would be glad to hear from you.

Be on close lookout for the Book Cliffs Boogie Man!
You can't get far from people/Hunters/Campers/people with cell phones/12" of Dust/Oilfield workers/RoadHunters/a million ATV'ers/and etc in the Book Cliffs, and if you do,you're not where the Pisscutters are gonna get pounded!

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

I was out there last weekend and blew a tire and had two separate people offer to help out. Good folks hunting the Books!

There are no big bucks in Utah! LOL

Be nice dang it!!! Yes, we could all make a little comment and have fun with it, but enough is enough. Charlie is 74 years old and is a little worried about being out there alone. I even told him it wasn't a good idea. I told him to post something.
I know you guys are just having fun, but remember not everyone has a sense of humor like you might have.

Anyway, hopefully Charlie can find someone else who has a tag who is on their own and they can atleast camp together and help out if either has truck, ATV, or trouble waking up in the morning.

But Charlie, I didn't think about it, but they are right, there will probably be people buzzing around all over out there. I still think it's a good idea if you can find someone to camp with on your hunt.

Anyone out there hunting the Books who could use a little company around camp? Someone to BS with?

sw Brings up a good point, did I just say that?lol!

You Guys listening?
The Book Cliffs eats tires up perty good,if you're running a 8 or 10 Ply tire you'll probably be OK,but remember, trailer tires are usually not as heavy duty & I'd damn sure take a couple extra spares for truck & trailer & lots of extra Fuel.
It's a long ways back to a gas station & who wants to waste most of a day during season making a run for fuel?

If the weather stays warm & dry expect alot of dusty conditions anywhere near roads, which are everywhere unless you're hunting out on top!
If it rains/snows it can be a slimy SOB,so have some Tires with some Beef to them and/or tire chains just in case!

One more bit of advice, you see a 28" to 30" Buck I highly recomend putting him down for the count, they're not as common as the stories you hear or read about!
Ya,you might hold off & do better but....................!
Again,Good Luck!
