I haven't been on here in a while but thought you guys would like to see my 2010 archery muley. Got him this morning. 25 yard quartering away shot. We put a tape to him after skinning him out and came up with 231 gross as a 6X8. His longest G2 is 20 inches, he has a few mass measurements over 6 inches and carries the mass through out. 24 inch inside spread. The long drop tine measured 11 inches. If he has any downfall it is his short G4's but I am not complaining.

Can't believe the Carter's don't move to Sask.Way to go Saskman, proves you can do it without a posse by just hard work, FANTASTIC.

Dude, that thing is freakin' awesome! Every year I wait to see what new giant you kill. You are without a doubt one of the top consistant muley nuts on this site. Congrats on getting it done once again. That is a beautiful buck that should make for yet another sweet mount.

Cam,
I look forward to your pics every single year.
You are the man.
No banter, no bickering, no fighting, just big time results.
Awesome.

Every year I look forward to seeing what you're going to come up with up there. You sure didn't disappoint this year. Congratulations!

Another stud of a deer Sask. Love the mass. Thanks for stopping by and letting us know who the man is once again.

Awesome buck! Like man have already said I envy the success you have every year, thanks for showing it is possible to consistently take monster bucks!

Incredible as always Cam, you make it look easy! But I'm sure you work your butt off for those incredible deer!
Congrats again!

Only 3. I put an extra one in him after he was down. I had hit a little far back and hit liver and clipped the bottom of one lung. He was still breathing when I got up to him. Didn't want to see him suffer anymore.

I hadn't seen this buck before opening day. I had only been into this area once this year to scout and hadn't seen him. This is an area I usually frequent a lot and it usually holds some good bucks so I was hoping this year would be like previous years. I spotted him opening morning and thought I was going to get a crack at him. He decided to go over a hill instead of around like his buddies. I was waiting for him to come by but only his buddies showed up. I lost him after that and left to come back the next morning. The next morning I had to set up a little different because of the wind and never saw him right away. I did see another drop tine buck that I had seen the first morning as well. He is still yound with only a high 160's to 170 frame with a 5 inch dropper and sticker on his left side. I didn't want to shoot him but thought I would see if I could get in for a closer look. I snuck in on him and got to within 50 to 60 yards and was just going to wait for him to get up so I could get a good look at him. I was in no hurry and had nothing else to do for the day. I had probably been there waiting on him for an hour or so and noticed the odd deer in the area getting up for a late morning stretch and browse. I was kind of hoping maybe the big guy would do the same but never really expected to see him. It wasn't too long after that that I spotted him standing on the side of a hill a fair ways away. His big dropper was very distinctive even at that distance. I quickly forgot about the little dropper and backed out without spooking him. I started to head for the big guy. I saw him walk down the hill a little into some chokecherry bushes to browse. It was a steep little draw he was in and there was a nice ridge between us to conceal my stalk. At the base of the ridge I removed my boots and slowly crawled to the top. I could see him in the chokecherries browesing. I ranged him at 25 yards. It was too thick to get a shot so I just waited. It wasn't too long and I could see he had moved enough so that there was a small opening to his vitals he was slightly quartering away from me. I drew back and put the 20 yard pin on him and released. He jumped and kicked his back feet in the air and headed down the hill. I could see a red spot on his side where the arrow exited and it was a little further back than I had hoped. He went about a hundred yards and laid down between a couple trees. He still had his head up but didn't look to be going anywhere so I backed out and went to get a buddy to help me with him. When we got back I felt a little sick as I couldn't see him between the trees. Finally I noticed his one antler behind one of the trees. He had move a few feet and laid down against the tree. I moved in on him and he was not going anywhere but was still breathing with his eyes closed so I put another arrow in him so he would not suffer anymore. He was actually bigger than I thought he was when I shot. I am glad I didn't know he was quite this big or I would have been shaking even more. He actually died about 200 yards from where I shot a 215 gross buck back in 2005.

A fuuny thing is there was another hunter in the area on opening morning. He has hunted here in past years as well. There is one tall hill he likes to sit on and glass ( which is hwere he was opening morning). This buck was in the chokecherries about 40 yards below where this guy usually sits. I am pretty lucky he wasn't sitting there that morning.

"If he has any downfall it is his short G4's but I am not complaining."

You'd better not complain. That is the buck of a lifetime for almost any hunter. All the rest of us would have to come up north to kick your butt if you complain about his G4s! Congratulations on a heck of a fine buck.

A few constants in our Universe I have observed-

1) The sun rises and sets everyday
2) The moment you get a bonus at work, something will break down
3) Used cars stink (see item #2)
4) Kobe gets preferential treatment from the Refs
5) Oh, and Saskman bags yet another whopper!

Congratulations! I am amazed once again.

Awesomw buck Cam!! Congrats for sure. Love the field shots too. Good luck with the rest of the year.

Had him officially scored for our provincial record book this morning. we were a little low but pretty close. He grossed 235 7/8 non-typical. His typical frame grossed 200 6/8 and net 195 4/8. Add in the 35 1/8 inches of abnormal points and you get a net non-typical score of 230 5/8. Beats my previous best by 20 inches.

very impressive deer. Deer like that are very hard to come by and the fact that you kill these deer consistantly sais volumes on your dedication to this passion. Thanks for the photos and the story to go with.

Congrats on yet another stud, Cam. As I keep saying, makes me want to move to Sask. I still want to come there just to look and take pictures. Super buck and great contry. You deserve these great bucks.
