RV Parking in 2A New Mexico ????

I hunted it a few years ago. You will have to camp remote. Its a long ways out there from the nearest town. It was also real cold so your camper may freeze if you put water in it. I camped in a tent. Started on the border of the jicarria but deer were lower. So we moved lower to the west. You will be about midway between navajo reservoir and the jicarria. Look at your map. There is a network of dirt roads out there you can get around on which service the oil Wells. Cant remember the drainage i camped in. You will find deer in the sage flats and junipers. You can travel the oil field roads. They are graded and kept open all winter. The smaller roads into the oil Wells are locked but its public. That is were I found the bucks. Park at the locked gates and hike in.

prescottwizard, are you hunting 2A or 2B the unit boundary is the center of the reservoir north and south. The west side is 2A and the east side is 2B.
As far as camping there are areas near the dam that you can pull out and camp check out some detailed maps with forest roads and pick one. Have fun and post some pics. when your done.
