Oct.23 I will be heading to the books to hunt deer with my wife. I have been there several years ago before I was old enough to remember the area. Just looking for a handout to where to start looking... please pm me thanks for your help.

Are you going to be hunting the North or South?

On the South I would look in Diamond Canyon, Cottonwood Canyon, Nash Wash areas.

If I was hunting on the North I would drive a loop from the junction of the Seep Ridge Road and the Kings Well road East to the Atchee Ridge Road then south to Massey Jct., then through Big Park, across McCook, and Indian Ridge back to the Seep Ridge Road.

Finding deer out there is easy, finding a good one is the hard part.

I don't think there is a north or southern on my tag.. just says unit 16.. so where ever works. thanks for the input

Look in the trees - that is where the deer hide out there.

+1 Dax gave you good info. As for north and south he was just giving info for both sides of the range. You can hunt either side with your tag.

I would have to say the Bitter Creek area off of McCook Ridge. I drew a tag 2 years ago and saw tons of deer down in that area. Also we didn't run into alot of people over there so it seemed like that is why there were more deer in there. In fact that is where I missed a toad before I ended up shooting my 4x4 with a kicker off the one side. Good luck

P.S. Just don't shoot the first nice buck you see.

Lol roy, I'm sure he appreciates your help the most.
