LAST EDITED ON Oct-10-10 AT 05:14PM (MST)[p]heres the buck I ended up with this year. DEFINATELY not the biggest we seen, but with my wife watching on from about 100 yards above me, I couldnt pass him up, so after 2 misses the 3rd connected from somewhere in the range of 350-400 yards and dumped him in his tracks. Bitter sweet feeling in the end. .. . :) :-(

a few as he laid...

Nice buck....I know my wife wouldn't of been onlooking after the first miss... she'd be banging away trying to tip him over...

Thanx guys!!! And what rutnbuck?? Your post don't make sense to me lol

That is a nice buck - not sure I would of passed that one especially not if I saw one like that here in Oregon. Anyway, nice pics and congrats on a nice buck!!

thanx guys, here are a couple more pics of my outings. Will have to try and find some more. I was new to this area this year, so every trip out was a learning experience which was great and always made for very interesting outings! I can only hope that my wife gets lucky on the draw next year!!! And sorry for the crappy pics, I need to invest in a better camera for next season.

This is the top of the canyon I was hunting, a VERY big canyon that was FULL of deer AND elk!!! And I musta been doing something right as I didnt run into 1 hunter ALL season long, and only seen 1 guy on motorcycle riding through the area on a trail!!! red o is where I originally spotted the group of 6 bucks my buck was running with from where pic was taken ~1700 yards.

And heres a pic of a buck I fell in love with (can only see his antlers behind the other buck), but couldn't find him when the season came around. :-( Pic dont show him too well, but he was a dandy.

Seeing bigger deer than the ones you shoot seems to always take away from the deer you actually get. But thats a real nice symmetrical buck with nice forks. Congrats!

It's nice to see some one found some nice bucks in idaho great job congrats.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-16-10 AT 11:04AM (MST)[p]well after thinking about it, we went with a DIY euro mount instead of a shuolder mount. I think it came out great and makes for a great addition to our living room! :)
