Heres my first mulie i shot him last year in northern utah. He is a 26 wide and 26 tall 4x4, check out his back forks.

Guess that leaves some of us out.....never took a field photo of my first buck.....too darn inconvenient to carry around a 110 camera back then.

I imagine eel and kilo probably didn't carry enough flash-powder to operate their cameras back then.

I have no field pics of the "giant" velvet bow killed spiked I took so many years ago. When I got back to camp with it, my dad had already loaded camp and was ready to leave. I picked up the buck and swung it up into the back of the truck. What I heard next was "at least let me grab the back legs first and help you lift it so that it will at least look heavy". Needless to say that is the only spike I've ever shot, but it's still a trophy for the memories of it. I'd never seen a buck gutted. 16 years old, alone, sitting over a buck with a knife and not a clue as to what I would do next turned into a messy gut job. I had gut shot the buck to boot. Ah! the memories. Wish I had a pic to share.

Here is one my girlfriend Susan got opening morning in Idaho made a tough 320 yard shot . She was under the weather at the time but toughed it out and was rewarded with a very nice first deer . I am very proud of her

I had no idea this photo existed until my wife dug it out today. My first mule deer. About 1980? SW Idaho. Notice the 1980s style camo

This is my very first deer, but it's a blacktail. The year was 1964 (not 1864)}>. I still have that Marlin 336 .30-30. I killed a buck two years ago with this rifle. It was my dad's. The photo was taken at our house, after the hunt.

My first mule deer 1992, I had several whitetails before this but no mule deer. This was also my first archery deer

I will have to try to dig up a photo at my parents next time I visit. I shot a yearling 2x3 with a ruger Mini-14 when I was 14. It dropped at the first shot which hit it in the spine, but I made sure he was dead by unloading the clip into it. I didn't want it to get away because I was afraid my Dad wouldn't believe me. There were a lot of holes in it when we skinned it.

I got my first buck when I was 17 years old. It was my fourth year hunting, I had passed up a lot of small spikes and 2 points in those four years. I still remember having buck fever so bad that I almost couldn't shoot. It was a very fun hunt and I will always remember it.

this is my girlfriends first deer. after seeing doe after doe after doe...she spotted this little guy along with 4 other smaller bucks in these flats....they were feeding away....she got her dead rest and dropped it!.......
