This is my 2010 expo tag Book Cliffs buck. Conditions were a little rough but had fun. Hopefully I can get lucky and draw another expo tag someday.

Thanks everyone, and yeah I'm guessing that is the gut pile you saw in the road coming out of Sweet Water Canyon. I had woke up a little late and was heading towards McCook Ridge to an area I wanted to try and he was up on the hill side about 50 or so yards. I jumped out, shot, and drilled him square in the shoulder. He then ran straight down the hill using just three legs and went right down to the road, where I put him down for good. It was awesome because my little brother got to watch it all and he was way excited. Probably the easiest packout job I'll ever have to do lol. He does have some really good mass and should look good for my first mount.

Stinky, the other 2009 deer were just target practice so that when I had the chance at my limited entry animal it wouldn't take me 10 shots to get the job done. Maybe next time it won't take you that many shots. Especially with a mirror as a dead rest lol.

On the way out to the Books last weekend, we had to stop the truck about 30 yards short of a 3 X 3 that was getting a drink out of a tire track in the middle of the road. He raised his head, looked at us, finished his drink and walked off. Fun place to see bucks.

Yeah Mike I am wanting to get him mounted pretty bad, now I just have to find a cape cause I kinda messed mine up unfortunately. Hopefully I can track one down.

2Sneekee, I really didn't see very many other decent bucks while I was out there. But I was only there Saturday and half sunday so I'm sure I would have had I stayed longer.
