We were doing some remodeling at my parents house, so I took an opportunity to take a few pictures of my dad's monster buck since it was off the wall. He shot it around 1973-74 off the southern end of Pahvant, Joseph Canyon area. I tried to score it using the B&C Web site and came up with 238 net. I think we may need to get it officially scored because I am not sure if I did it right?

Enjoy

The bull on the left scores around 310, to give you an idea of the deer size...

Yes that buck would be a little tough to score. But what a toad !! Its great how big bucks like that stay in the family.

I can't even imagine if the left side had matched the right side... He's a stud buck just like he is...!!!

"Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!" 2 Ne. 28: 24

Definitely a gagger!!! Tons of character in that rack......would never pass him up on any tag!!!

His outside spread is 33 inches. His skull was messed up fighting or something causing the right side to come out at a different angle. He would be an easy 36 inch plus spread if both sides matched.

That is an incredible deer. Who cares what his net score is! Deer like that do not score well, but they are always the most impressive. Tell your dad to write down the story so the grandkids can remember it the way it was. Thanks for posting the photo.

I just want to know one measurement and then I don't care about the rest of him. I want to know the length of his right main beam. Insane...it's got to be pushing 30 inches. Awesome buck!!

I will have to double check, but it seems like it was 28 inches.

The one I find most impressive is the right eye guard, it is 6 inches.

Packout said it best i think. +1

Make sure you get the story of the taking of this huge buck to pass on thru your family's generations. A family treasure, thanks for sharing with us!!!
