He's not a monster but for the unit and the warm weather he was good enough for me. I shot him at last light and came back the next morning with my Wife and Spark to pack him out.

Nice job there Beanman!

So after you shoot one,you go back for help?:D

God is Great!
Life is Good!
And People are Crazy!
I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

Bessy,

It was convenient to have help, especially since both the Wife and the Dog enjoy it. The house is also only about 3 miles, straight line distance, away which makes it an easy decision.

Thanks Old Man, You're now over the hill.

Yes, Sparkey is a Jack Russell Terror. He is used to going coyote hunting and cruising whenever we go. He has been really P'OD that I've left the house three times on the scooter without him. Sunday morning he overturned the trash can in the kitchen and spread it around after I'd left. He hasn't had a temper tantrum like that in a long time.

Nice buck, love the dog.

Are the deer rebounding pretty good? seems to be conflicting reports from CO.

440,

It's unit 41 and we don't see big bucks like we used to ten years ago. I don't think winter kill is a factor since most of the winter range is low altitude and low precip. DOW started issuing a bunch of doe tags about 5 years ago, WTF! I also have seen an increase in people traffic which I attribute to natural gas exploration indirectly.

I see, I'm one of those guys with 13 deer points. just enough to keep your hopes up but not enough to draw the great tags. I guess until the Gunnison basin recovers I'm stuck.

You're lucky to live in an area where you can hunt for bucks like that on a fairly regular basis. he'd be in the top 1% of Oregon bucks taken this year.
