What does it matter what sw does or doesn't do? It doesn't affect you or anyone of us in are way of living or hunting.

Maybe he is like myself and can't afford to draw a tag yet even tho he has max's point's, or he is just waiting for the right year for him.

If he is waiting to draw a rifle tag that's his god given right even if he is all about archery hunting. Maybe he like's to mix it up.

Just my two cent's now go ahead and bash on me for expressing my opinion.

Not trying to answer the question for him, I agree with aaron too. Sw and I seem to be a lot alike, like to hunt with a bow but won't pass a rifle hunt. I'd be for cashing them in on a henries rifle tag asap though!

I love hunting with a bow, I actually prefer it. But no way in heck i am going to pass on a rifle tag on the henries, for an archery tag. It's just common sense.

Bess I told you im not just an archery guy. If I get the chance to hunt with a rifle I will..

Bess all you need to know is I will be drawing the Henry mtns tag in 10 years or less because the division will have to just give it to me. All I can say is it will be like taking candy from a baby with what ever weapon I choose to hunt with on that mtn.

I am a trophy/inch guy at heart and I like opportunity. The only way I know this can be accomplished is by the hunting politics I preach "shorter range weapons" If I could hunt every year with a rifle and still hunt big bucks in Utah I would in a heart beat. This is a fact!

I have killed several nice bucks with over the counter buck tags and I want a chance at something special. why should I throw away years and years of points on a bookcliff buck, vernon buck, pauns buck, ect when i hunt that caliber of buck OR better every year.

What bess doesn't want anyone to know is he, his family, friends are hunting and killing big bulls on the uinta south slope every year. So he is in the same boat as I am. lots of points and hunts great bulls every year.

I will give bess some slack sometimes cause I know i can take him.

I also know I have dished him out a bunch of crap over the years so he is prolly entitled to a slam here and there.

The harder you work the luckier you get!!

You were perty Quiet for a few days & I think I saw your Rig parked Saturday,you're still tryin for the big boy right?

Hell I don't mind a slam now & then I'll just slam you back!

I know what you're thinking sw,I'd like to keep hunting every year also,but I'd also like to be seeing more than I've been seeing the last few years,if I have to sit it out for a year or two or take an every other year deal I'd do it in a heartbeat if we could bump the Quality & Quantity up a bit!

I don't see it happening though,I don't see severe enough changes being made quick enough to help the suffering Utah Deer Herd!

I've witnessed 38 years of a slow downhill poor management only getting worse by the year!

Best think about the future sw,you got kids right?

I think sw is holding out & probably stomping that Wasatch range as we speak?

Sounds like his family & friends kicked some tail this year on the hunts!

I'm putting in for archery Bess. If I can't find a couple 220+ bucks to hunt that are killable in the area they live then I will turn my tag back the day before the hunt. And I plan on wounding a giant buck before I finally kill one with a sharp stick, on my once in a life time hunt for giant Mule Deers.

Well Nunya you aren't taking full advantage of your OIL buck tag by wounding only 1. According to Bessy you should wound 3.5 deer before you kill one according to his SWAG formula that he has {Scientific Wild A$$ Guess}
