colorado points creep or not in 2011

any ideas if you think that it will take more or less points in 2011 vs 2010? im thinking about trying for a deer 61 2nd hunt with my 7 points. 7 points would have gave me a chance 2nd or 3rd for the last 3 years , all but 2010 3rd hunt. is the unit worth my 7 long years of points? {with allot of hard glassing of course}

Point creep depends on the unit. If the DOW changes quotas and the same amount of guys apply, points can go up. Some units get more popular that others, especially if they are publicized by the hunt fools, and the points can go up. It can get frustrating if you hem and haw for too long on a unit and the points keep going up. My advice is to find that unit you want to hunt go huntin when you have the points!

I have 13 points and point creep has kept me from drawing for about 10 years now, I don't see why it would change. if anything the Gunnison die off will probably make it worse, for the top quality tags anyway.

I think on some of the top units like 61. It will be a little easier to draw in 2011. A lot of guys over pointed a lot of units with the late dates this year. But you never know. A lot depends on quatas and what the magazines say.

Just an opinion, but this year was the year to put in if you were banking points becuase of the late date the season started. I would say it should be a little better odds next year!!!

I think they will drop slightly from the high of 2010. It was a perfect storm, very late dates and guys sitting on a bunch of points. However, next years dates only start a day earlier. So it will ease some, but not a bunch. 2012, however should be back to normal,
