We have an LE Elk Unit not far away!

Was a decent Unit at one time until the DWR wiped it off the face of the Earth!

10-12 years worth of Cow Slaughters now!

They even went so low as to issue a LATE DEPREDATION "BULL" HUNT a few years ago in December!GEEZUS!

The Elk have been thinned out for several years & the last few years it's been a total JOKE for people that have blowed their coveted Elk points to pull a Tag!

So tell me Tony?

The Deer have NOT rebounded on this Unit!

The Deer herd on this Unit is just a big a Joke as the Elk herd now!

WTF Tony?

The Deer have had time to rebound but they haven't!

But they're in just a low a numbers as they have been for a very long time!

The Elk are almost gone,the Deer are not coming back,WTF Tony?

I expect some answers Please?

We don't need you experimenting wiping Elk off of other Units,We'll use this Unit as an Experiment,the Elk are all but gone,Why aren't the Deer comming back on this Unit Tony?

You must be deaf or just ignorant. I will tell you this for the last time. I have never said elk are the only problem with our deer herd. Show me 1 place I have said that?

Oh thats right you can't because I have never said that. What I have said is we need to find out what impact elk are having on deer. We have done everything else including cutting 50,000 hunters out in 1994.

Is that clear for you or do I need to get you some q-tips for them ears of yours? Or maybe some glasses so you can read what I have been saying.

btw, what elk unit are your referring too?

And If I was in charge we would have a healthy deer herd with opportunity and a healthy elk herd with opportunity. What we have right now in this state is an Un-healthy deer herd with opportunity and an un-healthy elk herd with almost no opportunity.

Yes I said un-healthy elk herd. Anytime you have 50 bulls+ per 100 cows it is very very un-healthy, and a big waste of opportunity for people and all those golden points you refer too.

So bopper keep pounding that moonshine you rummish up in your toilet in your out house. It does make for very interesting reading.

I dont disagree with you about elk are probably being blamed for something they are not causing in regards to deer.

But I am sick and tired of your whining bs regarding Anthro. When are you going to admit, recognize, etc. that the tribe hunts their lands as a GENERAL SEASON UNIT on anthro. How do you propose the state keeps big bulls on this unit for you Anthro lovers when a tribal member is just going to tip him over when he crosses on the tribe?????

And in regards to the dozen or so depredation bulls that were killed several years ago way down in the agricultural lands. So you wanted the state to pay upwards of $20k per year to one landowner for elk damage to his corn? Id say those bulls werent worth the damage they were causing. AND, killing those bulls, mainly raghorns, didnt do crap to the unit.

I saw a 380 bull killed off Anthro this year. WTF??

I tend to agree with you about maintaining our elk units as quality elk units and improving our deer. But I am sooooooo sick of your Anthro rant that I am going to vomit. You want to blame the state for PISS POOR MANAGEMENT, but its obvious you dont know a damned thing about the real issues and costraints out there. Get informed.

elk herds are not decreasing, and when the dwr has a blue light special on them land carp they always seem to come back in a couple years.

I will look into the anthro for you old old fella and get back with you.

and BTW, if you researched at all you would see what was getting done and got done while I was running the MDF. Must I do all your work for you?

Been Tribal Ground around that f'n Unit since time began,WTF?

I'm no Anthro Unit lover but I do know what it's capable of Producing!

Wow! One f'n 380" Bull this year,mark that in the History Book!

That Late Depredation Hunt caused several decent Bulls to lose their lives,after a couple days none of the Hunters could find any Bulls on the Private so they ventured South of where they were suppose to be Hunting & killed Bulls that were not causing problems,Yes I do get around to see WTF is going on!

They've shot the tar out of the cows for sure. My uncle and dad have had their fair share of cow tags out there over the years. I don't think they even saw an elk last year so they didn't bother with it this year.

Sad to see. I remember "back in the day" it was a sweet unit. We use to see some pretty good bucks and bulls out there. The last few times I've been out there all I've seen is roads and people.
