The Mass on this buck is unbelievable! If you closed your eyes and someone set these in your hands you would bet the house it was an elk!

AWESOME!! At first look it seems very much like the huge typical deadhead that was found and also posted this week... but with kickers.

The mass and trophy caliber, regardless of score, of these two bucks is nothing short of AWESOME!!!

Awesome Buck
What happen to the tent material in the background.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

The stuff in the background on the tent are christmas lights that buck is truly amazing even more so than the pics suggest after seeing that went straight home had a nap and dreamed of shooting something like that

That is a monster. Any more info on it?

It was shot in 051. Great area that is easy for non residents to draw! This buck was on a ranch. The owner of the ranch is who shot him as far as I know.

I hate to be THAT guy but...looking at it I can't see 246 nor can I see 18" in deductions in the frame. Don't get me wrong it is a huge buck no doubt, but 246 is a HUGE number. I've seen other photos of this buck on the front of a quad that I received via e-mail, they had some good angles and you can see the length of every point well.

***Disclaimer ? I am in no way taking away from someones trophy as that is a huge buck, this is my opinion only. You can take it or leave it?

Im only repeating the numbers I heard. But I did hear over 40 inchs of mass. I believe it!

I believe it has over 20" mass per side. But after some quick math you can see the frame has nowhere near 20" of D's. To me it looks closer to 228 gross than 246. If I were a betting man I would say the frame is close to 200 and it has about 18-20" of junk. And thats counting the small junk that you can't see in this pic.

Incredible deer That looks like the mass of a "good old days buck" Thanks for posting Would love to see more photos of this toad

I know the hunter and have talked to him about this buck. He has been watching this buck come to his fields over the past two years. He finally drew a tag this year. He said that he thinks that it is smaller than it was last year. He is not a horn hunter at all in fact I don't know if he realizes what he has. ha ha

LAST EDITED ON Dec-13-10 AT 04:20PM (MST)[p]Here is another pic of the buck. He shot the buck and lost it for 2 days. Yotes had eaten him.

HUGE buck but 245?? I think more like 220 gross is more like it.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I saw this buck on saturday and the tag attach to it said it was a landowner tag for 071-079. I dont think it grosses 245 either.

If I could go back and take the score out I would.

Native are you sure it wasnt 051?

I think it was area 51 and he came down from a UFO! Ha ha. Whatever the score is, he's a dadgum nice buck. fatrooster.

i keep coming back to this pic Don't give a rats a$$ what the score is this has got to be my favorite dream buck posted this year !!! Sucks the predators got fat eating him :(

Who cares what it scores? All I see is a once in a lifetime buck for a do it yourself hunter. The grand kids will have a lot to talk about during their lifetime about Grandpa's buck! Good job.

ALMOST my favorite buck of the year...I think the Saskatchewan monster is the only one that beats him....even then, it's still close. Amazing buck!

Great point! This will be one of those bucks that the kids in 70 years will find in the attic and say....Look how bad the taxidermy was back then!

Blading and mass give him the appearance of having short tine length but when you look at it in the last pics by fatrooster they are not short at all.

This buck is HUGE!!

I don't care what he scores, best buck of the year easy in my eyes!

Bill

Keep telling yourself that it has long tines, but it will come out in the wash. It's never going to make those numbers! Not a chance! Heck uteytooty would have to pass this buck if he is any kind of man of HIS WORD. After all it's just 200" or so, not a buck that would interest a guy who is so great a hunter on private land and give a way tags.

Congrats to the man who killed it!

Team Hossback, just losing blood now!

AGAIN! Who F*****G cares what the score is! Most ALL of us will never kill a buck this big on a DIY hunt much less see a buck like this any place! Enjoy the pictures and keep the neg comments to your self!
