Yea still waiting for your general season public land monster you were going to shoot. I'm guessing you never got one. A little tougher to get then those Dec.& Jan. reservation bucks, huh Ute.

##### I passed a handful of 190 and two 200 on that hunt but they where younger bucks cant wait to see what they are next year. So it was not that tough passed some bucks anyone would shoot!! And pecker head next time u want to try talk sh!t just pm me then u can tell me how jealous u are cool. And my hunt ends in dec.

Ya...I really would kill a 200 incher every year if I had month's on end to hunt. Hell, just give me December on the winter range. No offense but, I think "res" hunting is legalized poaching. HAWK

So if u got a sportsmen tag are had a gov. tag u wouldnt hunt right cause it is poaching what a joke you are dude!!!! Sounds just like your jealous too me. So quit making a fool out of yourself. Alot of state have hunts in dec. and even jan. so I dont know what the big deal is. Instead of you on here talking sh!t to me all the time. maybe you should be out scouting for next year u might just get lucky what u think?

You get to hunt months on end on private land, that only you are allowed to hunt, and then you want to rip others for not killing huge bucks? Anyone on this site could kill the bucks you are lucky enough to hunt, if we were able to hunt the same area.

Ute used to come off cocky and all thet but you really havent listend to his post have you? The rez and higher heads decide that he can hunt that long not him so why take it out on him? there is alot of other hunts in dec/jan like he said and have you seen the public land monster he killed last year dildo? didnt think so! He probley does more for the deer herd around him to grow these huge bucks than alot of people do anywhere. When was the last time you heard of anyone letting 180-190 buck live just to see what he has next year because he is a young deer! Go look at some of the bucks he and his family has killed and if he wasent there probley would still be kicking! Then come back and read your posts and see how big of a jeoulos hater you are get a life!

I kill most of my animals on stateland but what do u know right.I like how people get on here and think they know how are rez. works. I killed my 230 buck on stateland when state season where going so It cant be that hard to find big bucks!! I dont brag I just thought people like to look at pics. I thought that what this site is for not people to put others down cause they dont like the way my season is long. Im not the one who put the season in place! Im just a guy that loves being out in the hills everyday. And if u dont like that then you can just cry on here somemore I really could care less. And o Ya Hope EVERYBODY have a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Sorry guys

I have to say I am extremely jealous of UTE! I would give both nuts to hunt like that every year but that doesn't make him a bad guy. More power to ya Ute!

The thing that really gets me is they get to hunt the winter range.....If its gonna be like that make em hunt like their ancestors....off horseback and 100% traditional weapons...the deer dont stand a #$#$# chance in hell with todays hunting equipment....bunch of BS!

You guys can call me jealous or whatever you wanna call me! You sure as hell wouldnt see me out on the winter range just shooting the hell out of the herds.

Winter range??? Please tell me where all this "winter range" you speak of is at. Just stop you are making your self sound like a fool. As far as the "hunt like your ancestors" comment, We hunt the land we do because "your ancestors" said it was worthless and put us on reservations, but thats water under the bridge. Why does it always gotta be about race with some of you guys? Who cares where and when we hunt as long as we post up badass pics and storys. You're nothing more than a jealous hater

Well "all this winter range" doesnt have to mean in your state...come over to idaho and check out one of the states biggest winter ranges....where the deer dont stand a chance from some of the tribes that get to hunt it this time of year...thats the BS im talkn about.

If you have problems with the stuff that goes on in Idaho maybe you should write your congressman or contact the local tribal government... just dont be upset when they tell you to "get ****ed" As far as poppin off at the mouth about things that happen in Colorado that you have no idea about thats another story. "All this winter range does'nt have to mean in your state? wtf is that supposed to mean? I could care less what happens in Idaho due to the fact I dont live there or care to. The issue at hand is Colorado, not Idaho. If you want to argue about what goes on in this area, atleast have some knowledge of it or a dog in the fight.

The reason I made my comment was because a while back Ute came on this website and was bragging about how he was going to kill a monster on public land and then another monster on res. land. Kind of rubbing our nose in it and bragging what a great hunter he is. Well, he didn't kill one on public land so I guess he's not that great of a hunter he thinks he is.

We hunt early 74 that steep country 76 also up of the roads not like alot of hunter in that area. and he has no problem climbing then hills and I bet u cant keep up with me man so dont even try!
 
Well you see first of all they smoke the peice pipe!
2nd they sadle up the horse ah never mind they dont use sadles the first part is kicking in and ah ah
3rd a hole party of them grab the bows head out in the feilds run them ****er's down just start flingin feather's hoping to draw blood. well they get lucky get a few down.
4th then they have the women come gut & clean up the meat why they head back for the casino and some fire water!

Can you think of any other diffrent way ute hunting would work?

Great bucks, I for one would love to have the chance to turn down 190+ bucks just to see what they may look like next year. Trust me if I thought I had any ute in me I'd be doing the same, congrats

Okay, I think I might have a way of bringing some sanity to this thread. Utehunter or UNC could you please explain the tribal hunting privleges? I think if there was a better understanding, there would be less bitterness, or perhaps more, but likely less.

BTW, gret bucks!
 
They say they kill them on state land(Maybe)but it's only access is probably through the rez,so they are the only one allowed to use it.They are nice bucks but if everybody could hunt where they do everybody could kill bucks like that,it doesnt take a great hunter to do it there,obviously half of what he says is not spelled right nor sounds right but none the less they are great bucks.
 
Spring creek Is state land and any one can drive there so u better not be talking smack. u dont even no what ur talking about!

I'm pretty sure if you were hunting up Spring Creek you wouldnt be posting it up on here.I'm also assuming that the other pieces are surrounded by the rez and thats why you didnt put any of those up for everybody to see.You brag about killing rez deer that only you and a select few have access to.You brag about how you and your friends get around the mountains and say "Dont even try to keep up with me"What an arrogant F$#@.Ute your an IDIOT by all standards.
 
I finally drew a tag for the Jan bowhunt on the Navajo rez. Took me 3 years and I am excited. I feel priveleged to hunt both public land in NM and tribal land in AZ&NM. Some hunts on the rez are not gimmes, its still a tough hunt. Plus we only have 5 days for the late archery season. My late archery NM coues deer tag lasts 2 weeks. As far as the comment made about hunting on horseback with primitive weapons like my ancestors did, there are still a few traditional hunters who fast for 1 week prior to hunting and use traditional equipment with modern broadheads. The best hunter I know is an older navajo guy who has taken very large bucks with a longbow every sept. or jan when he draws. He took a nontypical 180-190 class muley 2 years ago and buried the head in the snow because some traditional navajos do not allow blood or antlers in their home. Also way back then they used the top of the line weapons of their time. A well made bow back in the day was just as sought after as a custom rifle today. That said i choose to hunt deer with a modern compound bow (hoyt carbon matrix)and other modern equipment like swaro glass and travel trailers. But I'm still carrying on the tradition of chasing big bucks like all us outdoorsman gather on this site to talk about.
