Mulie hearing

if you're gonna skimp on gear might as well just go with a trash bag... maybe a bread sack for your head.

>its worth it

thanks for the response-- what is good bowhunting raingear / Brand manuf?

Sitka's raingear is by far better than anything else I've ever had. Kings rainpants are horribly loud!! Cabelas sells thier brand raingear that I really like too. I'll sell you some Kings rainpants...

Cabela's Space Rain Ultra Pack is what I use now. Also used Cabela's MT050 rain gear. I loved that stuff. But it's a little to heavy to pack on your back to never use but maybe once a year. So I go with the space rain gear.

I heard Visqueen works well!:D

There are a lot of reasons to buy good rain gear, but deer hearing the rain hitting a cheap poncho is not one of them. The rain is hitting millions of other objects in the forest that are between you and the deer, making a lot of cover noise. That is why still hunting in the rain can be so effective, it helps to negate there sense of hearing...and smell and sight. Anyway buy some good rain gear, one that wont tear and wont make a ton of noise when it stops raining.
