So how bad is it in your neck of the woods? I'm real worried about Western CO. Was thinking of cashing in some points next season. Now wondering if that will be wise.

Here that! Treed
We were just in maybell yesterday and the snow is bad! The snow is 2 to 3 foot deep and krusty on top! If it gets any deeper up ther we can kiss the deer herd good bye!

Was that you on your Harley looking for tracks.Toughguy.LoL
maybe you should hang out with stinkystrapon.

Like I have tried to tell everyone, its not an "option" that will fix the deer herd or somebodys genius idea of cutting tags or not hunting for a few years, even if this worked it only takes a huge storm to destroy all of everyones brainiac ideas, and I agree if we get another 2 feet in the Central area the deer are doomed and then we will see how well our new "option" works that even the DWR says isn't the answer?

My new sign off.

"Mother nature controls our deer herds!"

Yeah, I hear ya. We drove over Strawberry Pass coming back from Steamboat on the 26th. If this winter keeps up it's going to be a bad one for NW Colorado. If I'd of had Pliars with me I would have had a bucketfull of elk teeth on US 40.

I talked to a buddy in nw colorado the other day and he said there its the least amount of snow they've had on the winter ground in a few years. They just got some snow down low recently.

Dang, this sounds just like our mainstream media...everthing sensationalized. Lets keep our fingers crossed that mother nature doesn't turn into a mutha firetruck.

Hey one dumb Beaner maybe you should go eat a dog taco and shut the Fu( k up!!!
Their has been snow in maybell for a month or so two feet and crusty two weeks ago now a foot or so more on top! The deer were having a hard time getting around. I hope for the best but don't like what I see!!

Hear that!I'M STUPID
So let me get this right. You build public housing for indians yet you hate them.Looks like the tables have turned..

By the way I might need you to re-fence my cabin&property here in NM

My hispanic ass will pay you $3 pesos an hour you game?
And I will feed you Tacos all day long.If you can't keep up I will bring some of my bros to show you how its done...

So get back to Mayberry and feel sorry for the deer

It's nature get used to it fag. Before I go Stuff your taco

Just had a green Christmas up here in the pre-global warming land of ice and snow. The deer are in great shape. Fat and sassy from a very very lush and green summer and fall. It's gonna be another tuff shed season because they ain't concentrated.

I guess its all down here in the lower 48, we have quite a bit of snow is S.E. Wyoming and it was -28 at the beginning of the new year. Its a little early to tell much about the wildlife situation.

Eastern Oregon is spotty, toughest winter in some time but many areas have had enough melt off down low to allow the deer to feed.

Doesn't matter too much, our deer herds don't amount to crap anymore but there are so few natives who know what it should look like nobody even cares.

This is a good subject , I hope we can get a feel for what areas are in trouble. is Colorado talking about a feeding program yet?

Hey chile pepper I don't build fences around trailer house! I don't like Indians that are lazy and useless or wetbacks for that matter!!!! It sounds like you might fall into that category if you are to lazy to build fence.
Will your bros be showing us how to work before or after their ( I'm to lazy to work a full day) siesta?
Lots of money building government houses at bacon/ Davis wages.

South East idaho is starting to feel the wrath of a woman Mother nature There ok right now but a couple more really big storms and these deer are in for a painful winter

Here's on who didn't make it Cats are going to be able to take down anything they want then the coyotes will be next

LAST EDITED ON Jan-03-11 AT 03:25PM (MST)[p]North East Montana and parts of Central Montana are going to have a big winterkill for both deer and speed goats. The snow is deep and it has already been on the ground for a month and half in some places.

I suspect next year will be lean for mule deer, the Whitetails will survive okay the river bottoms and the speed goats will die off enmasse again.

Nevada is cold but the snow hasnt been to bad .... yet
