This magnificent buck was taken by Kyle Lopez in Douglas County,
Colorado in 2007. The brute scores an unbelievable 306 B&C points.
Enjoy!

I remember reading about that buck in "Muley Crazy Magazine" If I remember correctly the kid that killed it was only like 14 years old. Awesome buck for sure I love that right antler especially!

I kinda figured that was the case. I assume it was some kind of jealous comment that you were responding to!? This buck is amazing and so is it's story! Biggest mule deer killed anywhere in the world in the last 38 years. Public land. DIY.

If that buck was taken on public land I'm guessing it was about 36" over the fence from private, depending on the spread.

I KNOW this buck was on public land. Jealous remarks, assumptions, and accusations are bound to fly when ever a buck like this surfaces.

Uhhhhhh........If you are referring to my post, you would be quite offbase. I exclusively hunt private land. I concentrate my efforts at the most remote corners where bordering well managed private land. I have done so very successfully and legally. My comment just reflects the reality of how some of my hunts have gone. This year I waited for mine to cut the corner, step over broken fence and arrowed him 6' over the line, legally. Just the way it is.

That a boy ZIM! get er done!

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

Zim, I was not referring to your post. I was adding to 270's post. Also there have already been a couple of posts nuked from this thread because people were making jealous accusations (which I didn't assume your post to be). This buck was definitely taken on public land (this I know). Some of the other accusations I cannot prove or disprove, but I seriously doubt the ones making the accusations could either.

The real amazing thing to me was the fact that Kyles brother and uncle both killed exceptional bucks in the same unit and if it weren't for the 307" brute they would of made some head lines themselves, if Im not mistaken one was 197" typical and the other a 221" non-typical with those kind of stats the Lopez's are either the luckiest deer hunters in the world or they know when where and how to kill them. Id say you could get lucky once or twice but three times come on they earned every inch of those deer I don't care what anyone says.

pokemindalungs - Oh OK, I didn't know there were posts deleted. I don't know if mulies are the same but where I hunt whitetails I have seen rutting bucks clip the corners of public and see how nervous they act. Twice this past season I had them dart directly for the fence due to a slight wind shift.
