If you had to choose between these 2 states for a leftover tag which would it be? I'm looking for an area with leftover or second choice tags to hunt that I would have a decent chance at finding a 3+ year old buck. Any suggestions on units, or regions?

I think I read where Wyoming is not going to have any "leftover" deer tags. They will just go on sale first come first serve after the draws come out. Most of Wyoming's tags to be had are whitetail areas or private lands. Colorado is your best chance for a mule deer. Wyoming, if you what a whitetail. JMO

Colorado hands down--look at a map of the US western states and it'll jump out at you why CO consistently produces the most trophy bucks---topography!!!

littlebighorn---Wyoming did away with the leftover draws last year and went to otc sale of those licenses in July. They start selling the full price ones on 7/6 and the reduced price ones on 7/20.
